Adam Lambert is having no problem making sure no one will forget who he is. Even though he came in second in the American Idol contest, his performance at the American Music Awards is keeping him at the top.

What Lambert did was a little racy, but nothing that has not been seen before. And since Janet Jackson showed off a little more than she should have, the Federal Communications Commission has tried to make sure that nothing like that happens again.

If people are going to make a big deal out of a performance given by an artist they should have started a long time ago. There are plenty of female artists who have given some sexually charged performances and not a whole lot has been said about that.

Between Britney, Beyonce, Shakira and Christina Aguilera, there are numerous half-naked performances that have not been scrutinized the way Lambert's has.

If parents do not appreciate what was done during the performance then maybe they should not let their children watch that particular channel. There are plenty of parental controls to make sure children only watch quality television and not what parents deem lewd.

When Miley Cyrus performed at the Teen Music Awards she was dancing on a stripper pole. That would seem to be more offensive, if for no other reason than she is not even old enough to be in a strip club.

That performance was geared toward people who are not even old enough to vote.

While there were comments from parents about the performance, they did not drag it out like they are with the Adam Lambert performance.

It seems that it is more acceptable for females to look and act provocatively than males. That is not the right message to send to the younger generation. Women should not be allowed to get away with acting overly sexual just because society deems it OK.

There is no reason parents should be mad about what Lambert did. He is openly gay and that should be enough to make any conservative parents keep their children away from the television screen.

Also, if anyone should be in trouble for what was on the screen that night it should be the FCC for not making their parameters clear about what is allowed and what is not.

For those who don't like what they see on television, here is a thought: change the channel. There is no reason to keep watching something that you don't like when the remote is sitting right in front of you.

This article still seems one sided. Though it is true that female artists dance around in lingerie, they do NOT suggest oral sex. True, their is grinding, but that is a dance move known to most of the world. (Continued…)

Rosie, the antics of Adam Lambert and his voyeuristic ilk do not belong on network TV. Keep it on cable, where it belongs.
