Campus Activities Board and Campus Recreation are giving students and faculty a chance to immerse themselves in an evening of entertainment.
The Vadalabene Center's indoor pool will be open for the "Dive-In" Movie, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. The event is open to the campus community and its family members.
"The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie" will be shown.
"You can either float or hang out in the pool or sit in the bleachers and enjoy the show," CAB adviser Alyssa Bodeux said. "It's an enjoyable event for those who come out, and it's usually a pretty good draw."
The event has become popular with families as well as students.
"I went last time they had a movie showing at the pool," sophomore Erin Westbrook said. "I thought that it was a good time, and a very wholesome event. Even if you don't like the movie, you can always enjoy the pool."
For more information about the event, contact Keith Becherer at 650-3245 or visit the Web site at www.siue.edu/CREC.
