Students are invited to the Religious Center to relax and have a bowl of hot soup from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 16, as part of finals week.
The soup will be served with bread, and students will have a quiet place to study for those long-awaited finals or can just take time out to relax. The food will be served on a first-come, first-served basis and the soup is made by the ministers, who take turns each day.
Susan Schwander, business administrator for the Religious Center, said students should take advantage of the Soup for Finals, because it gives them a chance to mingle and relax.
"Finals time is very stressful and this gives students a chance to socialize with other students and also gives them a nourishing meal," she said.
Schwander said the Religious Center has offered Soup for Finals for about five to six years now, and said the ministers are on campus for the students and this gives the ministers a chance to provide students with a home-cooked meal.
Catholic Campus Ministries, Shurtleff Baptist Campus Ministries and United Campus Ministries sponsor the event, and for more information, contact the Religious Center at 650-3246.
